I think I'm going to need Extra Stamina tomorrow........
Kealie, JH/stepgrandaughter/kitchen fairy extraordinaire is 16 on Monday, and during the last few weeks she has been absolutely brilliant - she has helped No1Son Al with her little sister whilst Mum has been in hospital after suffering a herniated disc in France at the beginning of September.
Mandy comes out of hospital tomorrow, and I'm whisking Kealie up to London, for a spot of "girlie" shopping, including Harrods (well, we can buy a couple of carrier bags ;) ), and Afternoon Tea at the Orangery, Kensington Palace .
My poor ole' dogs will be barking by the time I get home ....do you really think that walking shoes will go with my flash skirt & cardi :D

Absoultely! Comfy shoes are a must even in London. I went to London last year in what I thought were fairly sensible shoes, just a small heel but I hadn't worn them before and did I pay for it. By the end of the day I had blisters and was walking like a bandy Dick Emery :D

Maybe we can have a Saturday later on :)
Mandy still cant "feel her feet" as she says, when she was walking - still with walking frame :(
Occupational Therapy have been around to the house, loaned them a commode (eek), put temporary grab rails in shower, Al's put additional rail down stairs, raised up the settee onto blcoks and bought a new matress (and the bed had been raised as well). She is now beginning to feel pain from the scar tissue on her back, but apparently this is a good thing, as it shows that nerve endings are regenerating.
Consultant who carried out the operation has written to the Insurance Company, stating that in no way was this an on-going situation....so maybe they'll get the money back that they've had to pay out!
