Hi, recently i've been searching for some good breeding books and i was wondering if anyone could give me any titles which they have read and were excellent, just so i know its a good detailed read.

Hi,
have you got the book of the bitch? If not I would recommend this be the first book you buy as it has been like a bible to me with my first litter. It is available from amazon but check out ebay as this is were I got mine and it only cost me six pound delivered.

<recently i've been searching for some good breeding books>

Never heard of books breeding before - how many booklets do they tend to produce at a time :-)

Agree the Book of the Bitch is a good one and would also suggest, if you are considering breeding Dobermanns that you join a breed specific forum where you can learn a lot about the breed, its health etc etc

I also found 'The whelping and rearing of puppies' by Muriel Lee good :)

Definately wouldn't be without either of them, but the second one is a little scarey if you're a novice  on the other hand if you're a novice you need the info it contains and it would be way scarier to encounter some situations without any prior warning ;) ;) :D :D

Neither book is expensive and both will pay for themselves with the first litter :D
