Well...... Aflie turns 12 months on Wednesday so it was his last puppy class this weekend at our welsh club champ show, and he not only won puppy out of a class of about 14 but he also won maiden, to say I was over joyed would be an understatement :D :D

The funny thing is I very nearly didnt go, I had a few too many shandies Saturday night, ended up passing out at my friends house woke up at 6 in the morning feeling VERY poorly phoned a taxi which turned up then left because I had fallen back asleep and ended up having to phone my ex to pick me up   We got there with half an hour to spare me still feeling very poorly and made the decision that we would do our class and then go home back to bed, but then ended up having to stay until the end to compete for Best Puppy - which we lost :(

Im dead chuffed though, and he was such a norty boy on the move, all he wanted to do was act the prat !!!!

Thats fab Claire. A huge well done to Alfie, I meant to come and look for you, but Brianna was wired to the moon and really not behaving that well, so it was as quick as we could get her back in the car and head home (a mere 6 hours up the road). We were there for about an hour and left shortly after my girl got booted out of Yearling :D On the upside my little Angel Ellie was 3rd out of 3 on Saturday at the Gordon Breed show.  She behaved really well and only kangarooed slightly on the move. In fairness the other puppies in her class were two and three months older than her so I'm not worried at all. At least I'll have one to take to Crufts next year :D

Way to go Alfie :D See, its always worth going if you've entered, even if you have had a few too many *shandies* the night before :D

We had a good weekend too, Idõ won his breed class at EAGS and was BPIB and his brother Melek won his AV class and only went and got BPIS4, and it was his first EVER show!!

Now Alfie has to join the 'big boys' in junior, doesn't seem like 5 minutes ago since you got him!

well done Ido :)

We know we wont do well in junior to start with, the same dog has won every class for the past few months !!

You never know tho, dogs go thro phases of winning then someone else has to take over, who's to say that Alfie won't be that one?! Good luck :)

Oooh Emily you don't happen to have an EAGS catalouge to hand do you, I just wanted to know how many Red and white setters were enterd?
- By Emily Rose [gb] Date 10.10.05 18:21 UTC
None, which is a shame :(

Thanks, didn't think there would be any, it was the club show and most of us who support EAGS were at the clubshow.  Had 3 breed specilists judging on one day, one of them at a club show! :(

Way to go! The day my boy won his ticket I had a terrible stomach upset and nearly didn't go - just goes to show it's always worth dragging yourself along!

Little brag of my own - my puppy won Reserve Best Puppy in Match at our inter-club match night tonight. And she got into the final heat of the adult classes as the idiots running it didn't spot from her birth date that she should have been in the puppy classes!
