My bitch was mated on 27th September, 2 weeks ago today! Obviously im not sure if she is pregnant yet and am going to have her scanned on her 5th week. But the last 2 days, when i have been stroking her tummy, it seems like she has got bigger already, just under her ribs, her tummy has expanded slightly and got firmer. Surely she cant be showing at 2 weeks! Is this normal? I thought maybe she has an infection or something but she is normal in herself and her wees are normal and is going for a wee at normal intervals!

Hi Minniedog,
My girl was mated on 24/26 september so fingers crossed we will be "expecting" at the same time.
Its such a anxious time i know, were having her scanned by sam (sheep scanner) next wednesday.
Good Luck

They don't normally show at 2 weeks, there's really nothing 'to' show at this stage.
My chihuahua mix was mated numerous times between September 10 and September 18 and was tied with the male dog more than once a day. I hope that she is pregnant but I do not see any signs yet. I do see that her tummy is a little firmer than usual. My vet says that she needs an ultrasound to really know is she is pregnant. Maybe you should take her to a vet for an ultrasound. Hope this helps...
Good luck to you!

Monica, you get around a bit huh?? Did you take the advise others offered in you request for information?? I think not!! Yet you feel competant to comment on some one else's problems and proclaim that you 'hope you under age, over mated PUPPY' is PREGNANT???!!! You need reporting to the RSPCA!

Oh my god that Monica is a one, she is from america, or so she says, do they have a rspca system. Have a look on her she reads the bible alot. But treats her animals like breeding machines for money. This Country is really one of the places in the world where we really do adore and love out animals (given the odd one or two). When I hear of people breeding their bitches time and time again like this, it makes me sick and does the way people are using live cats and dogs which are alive for shark bait. It makes me feel sick.

Same here Velvet, when i saw that Shark Bait thing on the RSPCA website, i was at work and i was trying so hard to hold the tears back, i couldnt stop thinking about it all day, i so wish i could get hold of the w*****rs that do this, they cant be human! It makes me so mad!

Must say that most people in the USA love their animals too. My friend has 5 shar-pei, mostly rescues and all spayed and neutered. And did you see the huge effort that was put in to rescue animals in New Orleans and is still going on to care for them? I read a story about a woman who sneaked Lola, her lovebird out on a coach. The birdie rode all the way in her owner's bra!
