Topic Dog Boards / Showing / New suit for junior

My daughter shows our munsters in the YKC classes and has again qualified for Crufts, problem being that her lovely suit we bought her for last crufts won't look at her by March. We have been to BHS and to debenhams [where we got her last one] but all they have is black pin striped suits. Our munsters being black saddled and black ticked dont go with this colour. Her suit at the moment is pale pink and they make a good looking pair. Does anyone know where else we can get her a suit. Must say she is only 7 which makes it even harder to find one.

All I can say is Good luck and maybe try charity shops?  Black is the in colour at the moment for this seasons (well it's stopping me buying new ones!!!)

Keep looking, the new seasons colours will be in jan/feb next year so maybe if she can hold on...

Oooh also look round your markets if you can.  Down here there was one stall who sold lovely boys suits for my brother so there might be the same thing up your way! :)

Hi Nicky,
Have you tried ebay?  I get all my suit jackets from there (have heaps of them!).  All are like new and very cheap!

Sarah.

are you any good with the sewing machine, you can buy patterns and make them up, i have done this with my daughter she is 10,and we can make a suit in any colour she wants,i did make some mistakes along the way, but the first time i tried i made a suit out of old bed sheets  which was trial and error and tweeked it along the way , so i did not hopefully make a mistake when i went onto proper material, i also lined her jackets with shocking pink and bright red royal blue and she loves them.

Nicky, if you send me Erin's details I can ask my boss to look for you when she goes 'shopping' again. We've got boys suits in that would fit ;) How much are you willing to spend? And what colour? Angie will be shopping again for the shop soon.

Thanks Linda, well you have seen here and she is a dodgy size!!!!!
Her suit at the moment is jacket size 8 years [believe it or not] and trousers size 7 years but they were all they had and we had them shortened. The suit we have cost just under £50 as that seems to be the price of these things [tell me about it!!!]. I have a bid on ebay at the moment but it is for a future suit as it is too big but i didnt want to miss it. You know the colour of Erin's Linda so something along those lines would be good.

Will do. I'll ask Angie today. The boys suits are coming in at about £30 for a 3 or 5 piece suit, depending on age and style (5 piece includes shirt and bow tie), so I think we should be able to find something for you.

Hi folks. I work in a clothes chop and my boss has contacts within the retail trade. I work in Kirriemuir. If we can get you anything you would either have to collect it or pay for the postage ;) Nicky (munsters4ever) and I often meet up at shows. In fact our dogs, being Munsters :D , often compete against one another, which is why I offered to see what I could do for her. I know little Erin very well, having been beaten by her and and her dogs on a regular basis. Beaten by a 7 year old.......going to lie down.......

Thank you from Erin!!!  [and Hogan]  . She was nice enough to buy him a chew with her £5 prize money. I had to buy the other 5 a chew with my money - I never win.
