hi everyone, my staff has a wart type growth on her neck is about 1 - 1.1/2 centermetres long and grey in colour, i have taken her 2 the vets about another matter and ask him what it was and he just said its nothing to worry about, even though it may not be something 2 worry about it dosnt look very nice so i was wondering if anyone know what this could be and how could i have it removed. thank you

Hello!  My dog had a similar growth on his head.  It was about the size of a pea and I was not happy about it.  Vet said it was a cyst but I thought it was getting bigger.  Upshot is, I asked the vet to remove it, she did and they tested it.  It was in fact just a cyst (and I am a worrier!!).  However, I feel a whole lot happier and my insurance policy paid for the treatment.  If in doubt, get it removed - and for the record, if I had to pay for the removal it was £166 total.  Not too much really even if you aren't insured.  Hope this is helpful :)

hello coppergirl, i asked my vet 2 remove it but he said it would be ok 2 leave it, it has been there 4 a few months now an vet still says no need 2 remove it but it looks very unsightlyand i relly wish that they would take it off, so i was just woundering if there is anything that maybe i could do 2 remove it!

Ask your vet to remove it, whether it's necessary from a medical standpoint or not.
