My lhasa will be one soon and my groomer says she is going through her coat change but Im having trouble keeping on top of it. From her head to the middle of her back is fine but from there down, it is like cotton wool! It matts really easily and always seem to be full of static. I got magic cowboy and that does help with the matts but I was advised to only brush her once or twice a week but she seems to be in a mess after one day.
Does anyone have any suggestions for products, tips- Im willing to try or buy anything!!!!
Thanks

You could try a moulting comb, it has teeth of two different sizes arranged alternately and will help get that cotton wool out :) There's nothing wrong with combing every day if its needed, far better to comb daily than pick through mats weekly ;) ;) Remember to work by lifting the coat and combing underneath first from the skin outwards, working towards the top coat, that way you'll prevent knots and tangles forming :) :)
Apso coats can be notoriously difficult as they change, I use a maison pearson brush with plenty of conditioning spray, you cannot leave them for a week they will felt up, a comb will take too much undercoat out and they need a double coat or they will end up with 'curtains' and no depth of coat.

LOL
Sorry, didn't make myself clear there, didn't mean to suggest that a comb was used permanently, just to get the old baby coat out as the new comes in.
I'll go stand in the corner, a minute for every year of my life I should be there some time.........
