Hi
Some advice please..

Does anyone think that Ive waited too long to take my Lhasa to ringcraft. She's very well socialised normally but shakes when we go into the class and wont pay any attention to me.
Should I perservere??

Thanks
Clare

You're not too late, just let her sit on the sidelines and take it all in, perhaps the noises in the hall are scarey for her, or it could be very exciting?  ;)  if you take some highly prized treats and don't feed her before going she should settle down, she'll pay more attention to you when she's a little more relaxed :) :)  If you take things slowly there's more chance she'll setlle down and start to enjoy it, but don't fuss her and reward the shaking, just act 'normal'

Is it possible that she's picking up on your nervousness??  If so you can buy Bach Rescue Remedy liquid in the chemist and take it before going.  You could also drop some on her nose too :D it does seem to help ;) ;)

I've trained nervy dogs for ringcraft with the clicker and its worked a treat because they aren't being pushed.

If you need any help, just shout.
