Jazz haz been sick early this morning and been generally off colour all day very sleepy and not wanting cuddles etc.  The main worry I have though is he smells horrendous and we have  only noticed the smell today.  Does this soud like anything serious? any ideas I have tried to get him into the vets but they cant fit him in until wed morning, they said just to keep an eye on him.  The problem is it is my wedding reception tomorrow evening and Jazz will be left on his own for about 6 hours.  Any advice much appreciated.

THat is terrible! I work at a vets and we alwys try to offer appointments to ill animals on the day they call, or if its really manic and the animal isnt too bad the next day. I don't know what the symptoms could mean, but i would say if you are very worried about him, get back on to the vets and demand that he is seen asap. In the meantime have you starved him for 24 hours? Is he drinking. Don't let him eat too much grass as this can make things worse.  What colour are his gums?

Stupid question I know, but what does he smell like?

Jazz is still eating and drinking, although he does tend to be drinking more than usual.  The best way to describe how he smells, when humans are poorly I always think they have a certain smell (maybe thats just my opinion) but Jazz smells like this but obviously a doggy smell.  Thanks for your replies.
