So sad that he's gone.
There can't be anybody who doesn't have a favourite sketch or show of his.

That's very sad. It was clear he wasn't well in the recent series he did. Another era ends. :(

Ahhh, that's so sad, I hadn't heard anything either.

When did it happen?  We get all the news about George Best, through his self inflicted illness and I've not seen anything on the news about Ronnie.

RIP

it is so sad, and you asked what favourite sketch i can always remember my brother sitting in front of the TV watching the phantom raspberry blower of old london town, and he was only about 7 i think and he used to laugh till he cried and his ribs hurt,so that is the sketch that brings back great child hood memories rushing back,
my daughter watches porridge and open all hours and she laughs at them both, she is only 10 so these are all like brand new programmes to her, and i have to say, i don't find anything offensive in these programmes for her to watch, he was definatly the type of person in these programmes that a family could watch together and sometimes that is very rare.

I have just found this quote by Michael Hurll, a producer on the Two Ronnies, it is to me very true and sums him up to a T:

"Ronnie Barker meant to comedy in this country laughs, big laughs and laughs that you will always remember."

It is very sad to hear of his death :(

My thoughts are with his family and friends.

SO few guys left like him. I loved his type of humour.

He'll be sorely missed - I loved the four candles sketch, it's probably my favourite! :)
