Read the first post on the breeding forum: should I offer my pet dog at stud. That should give you some serious food for thought.

Theres alot of responsibility involved. Is your dog proving successful in the showring (or any other dog activity)

When you stud your dog you more or less sit around waiting for bitch owners to contact you and then you decide if you want your dog being used on their bitch and if you think that it will be a positive outcome! :)

Did you read that information when I emailed it to you? It is the same information that is contained in the first post on the breeding forum and the one that shaynlola has recommended you read.

One of the health tests that you definitely need to get him checked for is Hip Dysplasia via the BVA.

Thing is Bullmastiffs are a very popular breed, apart from having to have your dog hipscored you will also need to show him before anyone intrested shows an intrest in using him.  There are already lots of very nice Bullmastiff stud dogs available who are shown on a regular basis most of which have won shows somewhere along the lines. Hope this helps.
