Im having trouble toilet training my little pug cross, shes 5 months old and had her since 8 weeks. From the start i did the whole taking utside first thing in morning, after a play, after a drink etc. When she went to the toilet i would give prase for doing it outside. I was told to try and limit the prase and treats when she goes outside as when im not there she wont get a treat so why go outside. Now when im home she will just get up walk outside do her stuff and walk back in or do what ever without making a fuss. But when im out she wont bother and just goes inside (got a dog flap). Any ideas.

Who told you to stop giving treats...

You should only decrease the ratio of reward when the dog completely understands the behaviour in all circumstances - even toilet training!  If I were you, I'd go back to giving treats after she toilets outside, until this becomes more of a habit - she's only 5 months old, so it's too early for her to have learnt this behaviour completely.  Is she crate trained?  How long are you leaving her for at a time?  Could you crate her while you're out, this might help to break the cycle?
