Topic Dog Boards / General / Leather tracking lead

Hello everyone
Hope you've all had a nice weekend.
I am seeking advice on the best place to buy a long leather lead, the kind used for tracking in working trials. If anyone knows of any internet sites please let me know.
Would you also be able to advise me the ideal thickness/ length as some of them tend to get snagged if they are too thin and long.
Thanks
Yash

Hi,

Hope you are having a good weekend too :)

You may like to try www.karenswood.co.uk for starters, I have got tracking lines from them but only material ones. I'm sure there are other sites too, not sure how expensive or not Karenswood is!

John Humphris do them so do several other people.  Some people use a flat leather line I use a rolled leather one

Hiya,

I got mine from a company called Pet-needs. I prefer a flat 'ribbon' type leather, mine are about 8mm wide.

Good luck

Ali :)

p.s they are on the internet on www.pet-needs.co.uk and the staff there are really helpfull if you want to ask any questions.

Thanks for the link Ali
I have already placed an order, but the site certainly has got some nice items.
Will probably look at getting some of the collars.
Cheers
Yash
