I used to be able to buy 6 different dog magazines from WH Smith. Now I only ever see Dogs Today and Your Dog. Is it that all these other dog mags have gone burst? Or simply WH Smith is now truly lacking  in stocking more pet related magazines. Its been so long since I brought other dog magazines I've forgotten what half of them were even called. One was Dogs Monthly, another of my once favourites was a magazine that was very grossly and picture filled and tended to have a section with a celibately and their dog. One was lilly savage lol

You can still get Dogs Monthly in WHSmith in Reading or you could a couple of months ago.
There was one called Pet Dogs but I haven't seen that for years..

LOL sorry, I'm obviously not awake yet -I thought you said Dogs Monthly and Your Dog now I see you did mention Dogs Today. I'll crawl into a corner now.:) But yes many of the others like Mad About Dogs, Pet Dogs etc did go bust.

ahh that was the names of two others I liked : Mad About Dogs, Pet Dogs... such a shame they've gone. I really could do with some more doggie mags to read!

WH Smith do seem to pick and choose depending on the demand of certain magazines.  I was doing an essay on race and couldn't find any of the magazines popular with ethnic minorites.  I asked the manager if he had any coming in (assuming I had just caught them out of stock) and he told me that there was no demand for those magazines in our area.  My flabber was well and truly ghasted.  We had quite a discussion as I could't see how they would know what the demand would be if they didn't stock any.  Don't know what numbers they use but from this discussion it seemed to be up to the discretion of the manager.

Hi, if you ask, the newsagent should be able to let you have a look at a list/booklet they have which lists all monthly and weekly magazines, you could then ask them to order the one you want, done this with our local in the village so I imagine somewhere like smiths could do the same.
