Please can someone advise me on this i have a 6mnth pup and have been to training classes from her age of 12weeks all was going well in fact it still is indoors but when we are out she wont do a thing shows no interest in the treats or anything and if there is no interest in treats then i cant get her to perform the actions ie sit come stay anything any ideas would be helpful :(

Hi, have you tried different treats? You need something REALY nice like liver or hot dogs, not boring dog treats. :) My dogs will do absolutely anything for liver (which my friend always carries around) but I hate cooking it (I'm a vegetarian so it bothers me with the smell) so I just buy cheap cans of hot dogs and cut them up into little pieces -suits all my dogs from the smallest to the biggest and they all love it.

Hi
What breed of dog is she? If she is not responding to treats anymore what is her favourite toy? One of our youngsters will do absolutely anything for her "ball". Her ball is given to her at playtime [when we decide] and she has great fun with it. The secret is to take it off her when playtime is over and keep it until the next day. This makes it a very special "toy" indeed.
Dont worry though, she is still very much a baby.

Very possibly the pup is just distracted and you made the jump from one place to the other too quickly - often its best to almost go back to basics at each new place you take the pup to, until it starts to "generalise" commands. It may be now that, if you have kept trying and not got anywhere, that the pup has also learnt that your sounds mean nothing. May also be adolescence kicking in a bit, although it doesn't sound much like it.
Go back to basics outside, use high value treats (not biccies, not ones from the shop - liver, chicken, cheese etc are best as others have said :) ).
If all still goes wrong, try going to another training class and seeing how things go, or maybe getting a reputable trainer to come out with you to help on the spot.

Hi happygirlie, Don't worry this is perfectly normal...
I'd say it's a combination of several things - firstly being outside is a much more distracting environment for a dog. Just because the dog can do something indoors doesn't mean it can outdoors. Dogs don't generalise very easily, so often you'll need to go back to the beginning teaching behaviours outside (ie, instead of saying sit and waiting for a sit, you might need to take a treat and lure a dog into a sit a few times again - but not as many times as you had to the very first time you taught it). The dog will learn much quicker this time round, because s/he already knows them inside.
Second, I'd say your dog at 6 months is just approaching a time of more independence. When pups are very small you are their whole world and they would never think of going anywhere without you - like a 5 yr old kid, perhaps. When they get a bit older, they get more independent and start to have their own agendas a bit more - kind of like a teenager might. Usually, if you just work through this stage, it will go away and get better again - everything your pup knows is still in its head, it's just dormant for a while while she's adolescent!
Third, I completely agree with what some other people say here - you have to use really, really exciting treats outside. Try hotdog sausages or cheese, cut up small. Or try some jerky. You can also use sandwich meats (ham, sliced chicken, that kind of thing) - the Value/Savers sandwich meats and cheese aren't expensive.
Thankyou for all your help i have been using chicken and polony, cheese ect but i will try a different type today see how it goes she is a sbt and a very dominant one too i think maybe she was having an off day (fingers crossed) i will go back to the luring again aswell it wasnt a big jump from inside to outside as she has been doing it all everywhere just decided to poke her nose in the air as if to say clear off i cant be bothered i suppose we all get like that sometimes :)
