Hi i'm new can any one help please ???  I have a 3 yr old black lab bitch who I rescued from a puppy farm in Wales.  I've never had a lab before am a bit worried as she is constantly and I mean constantly moulting.  The hair that comes out of her has white tips is that normal or is she short of something in her dietary intake???  any comments would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

Yes i reckon it's normal, just give her a good brush everyday for fifteen mintues that should help you clothes stay hair free.

I actually have people send their labs to me for grooming as they shed so much.  One of my dallies is actually nearly bald underneath where she has shed so much with this moult.  I have never had one quite so bad as this.

Hi, I have a cocker spaniel and a choc lab, the cocker never seems to moult, but the lab does.  I read somewhere that yellow labs moult all year round, black and chocs moult almost overnight, shedding loads of hair within a period of a couple of weeks (enough to fill your bin)

My choc lab is moulting a lot the past week or so, which seems odd as we come into winter and she lives outdoors, I have been wondering if this is normal.
