I have just come back from my usual evening stroll around the block and in 20mins I have witnessed with eyes and ears 14 accounts of crualty, on 14 dogs!! God I live near some bone heads there that think they can get results by kicking, yelling, swearing and smacking their dogs. I live on an army camp and it is a case on here who can get the biggest, butchest dog then walk it once or twice around the camp to show it of and then you never see the dog being walked again and when you enquire why they got rid of it I am told 'Oh we still have him/her its just that I cant control the dog when we are out and its not very friendly with other dogs, classic case of an unsocialised puppy, and we just let it out in the garden for a run!! There is a CKC breeder who has different dogs every month as her dad also does it and the dogs really dont know who they live with, just get passed about, breed from and none of the parents are hip, eye ect scored. Some one else who had just got rid of her st bernerd as she felt that after two years it was crule to keep him in a small house paid 550 for one of the ckc pups as she felt sorry for him as he was at 7 weeks getting dragged up and down the road by a 4 year old girl and he has at 4months a bad eye, breathing diffculties ect ect!! Another person breed her boxer bitch, who is a sweet dog but very, very snouty and has a bad gait am quite suprised the dogs owner put his dog to her, not being bitchy but 3 pups live on this camp and all are not good examples and 2 are compleatly out on control. Hate going round to my best friends as she choose the biggest, a hugh out of control boxer who only today scratched all my arm and made it bleed and when we walk our dogs together my 7month old puts him to shame in recall, leave it ect and even though I have tried to help her endlessly with training him. There is a chap with a samoyed and a black lab who only lives a few doors away and I have only ever seen these dogs in his back garden, barked constently, never ever walked. Really really wanted a boxer for years and when we got Alfie a boarder collie x tibetian terrier (decided I wanted to carry on with obediance trials) am so glad as my dog would not have been taken how well he behaved but for how big it was ect ect, in fact my hubby takes a bit of flack when I allow him to take my babe for a walk as alfie looks like a blue mearl bc but is only the hight of a tt and is a pretty boy, but when Alfie listens to what ever command he gives a responds (almost first time to hubby who is play mate, not a commander) he comes out with some thing like 'well at least he trained to do as I ask him' or 'I can let this one off the lead for a bit of a run so hes a good dog in the house'.
Some people just should not be allowed and i wish ther was cctv on the camp estate as Im sure the RSPCA would be intrested in the footage.xxxxxxxxxx
