Recently one of my adorable cocker spaniel pets has sadly died. A loving, loyal and faithful friend which was a companion to my other dog Elsa, an 11 year old golden cocker spaniel bitch.

Elsa is recovering from a virus which attacked her nervous system and is gradually getting movement (and strength) back in her legs. She is at present dependent on her owner to support her to enable her to walk, but the progress she is making gives me the confidence to believe she will walk on her own in the near future.

Once she is fully mobile she is going to miss her lifelong companion. Has anyone got an older spaniel (age 4+) which needs rehoming and would be a loving companion to Elsa. Elsa could not cope with an agressive lively replacement to her previous soulmate.

So sorry to hear of your loss, it is always hard when a beloved pet dies, have you tried the breeders section of champdogs, Leigh will probably post a message letting you know about rescue. Give your other dog a big cuddle from me. and I hope you find a suitable dog soon.

I have heard of a 5 year old spayed bitch needing a home, but she is in the Surrey area so may be too far for you to travel
