Hi guest, sorry to disillusion you but there is no such thing as a Crufts Champion!!! I tactfully suggest you go back to your bitches breeder, who hopefully will be able to direct you to a suitable dog for your bitch. You really shouldnt just put two dogs of the same breed together. Also, has your bitch been checked and cleared for any breed health problems? Has she been hip scored? A ll these kind of things must be done well before you think about mating your dog. The stud dog should also be chosen and viewed well in advance, if only as a courteousy to the stud dog owner. You cant just phone up the day before and ask to use their dog. Any reputable stud dog owner will want to see proof that your bitch has had health checks done, and you should also ask to see the same for her dog.You have left it much to late for this season. Contact your bitches breeder now, and perhaphs things can be sorted out properly for next time.

Hello,
Please get all the health checks done on your bitch before even thinking about breeding her. I have got a 12 week old Golden Retriever puppy who thankfully is perfectly healthy, but before her we had another pup who we had to return due to health problems. We were heartbroken when we returned the other puppy, but did it on the advice of our vet. That puppy had hereditary eye and possible hereditary elbow problems too. Without the proper checks you could unwittingly breed possibly 10 or more puppies with terrible health problems and selling them to new owners who end up with puppies with painfull lives, huge vet bills and terrible heartache for years to come. I am sure you would feel terrible if that were to happen, so please make sure you get the eye checks and hip scores done before breeding and also any other necessary tests.

I am affraid before you even think of the mating you MUST have her hip-scored and eye tested YES even if she is a pet.
Then you will need to consider all the problems and responsibilities that bringing a litter of puppies into this world have.
Contact the bitches breeder and they should be able to help you.
