Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Puppies second night tonight and I have
- By Guest [gb] Date 27.09.05 10:24 UTC
Hello all

My Welsh Springer pup is here since yesterday and so we face the second night.  She is locked in a crate and she did soo well last night.  I took her out twice at night, although she was not whining.  But she used the grass to relieve herself.   When I put her back in, she started whing for a few minutes, but I ignored her and she stopped.
Now I'm wondering, whether I should take her out at night at all, although she does't make a noise.

Thanks for all the help, have registered already properly, but my PC didn't receive the pasword, because there is something wrong with it.

Regards Bagpipe

I would carry on with the crate training just MO though she will soon learn that the crate is her personal space and son she will put herself in there for her naps etc. just make sure you get her out and let her do her toilets. then settle her down again.I had never used a crate before i kept a puppy from my last litter and with having three older dogs around it was a godsend. besides if you need to go out and leave her for a short time you will know she is safley in her bed and cant get to any wires or eat something she shouldnt. good luck with her

I would continue taking her out through the night for a few more weeks because she still wont have very much bladder control :)
