my jack russell bitch is 18 months old and i let her play with 2 entire jacks i did hear a bit of a jelp, but they never became stuck or anything, six weeks ish on we are vomiting, have vaginal discharge very swollen mammary glands with milk, also she is a very active dog never stops and is usually skinny she has put wait on, i am going to take her to the vet as i am more worried by the vomitting, she is regularly wormered. phantom or pups?????

If she has a clear vaginal discharge, I usually look on that as a pretty good indication that the bitch is in whelp.

You didn't say if she was in season when she was playing with the male dogs?

I'm more concerned about the fact that shebeen is not interested which 'entire Jack' might be the sire of the potential litter, with such a cavalier attitude what else has been disregarded? :(

Seems all a bit hit and miss to me, not the carefully planned litter from mature, quality, health tested parents I would normally encourage. I'm exasperated. :(

True Dawn, but now the mistake has been made it's best to try to help the OP through this situation! :-)

So Lucy, as I said, lets hope it's a phantom then! :)

THE ENTIRE JACK WAS THE INTENDED SIRE, YES SHE WAS IN SEASON AT THE TIME, WE WALK OUR DOGS TOGETHER AND HE WAS SUPPOSED TO SIRE ON THE NEXT SEASON AS THEY ARE BOTH MAIDEN, AROUND JANUARY AS I DIDNT WANT TO HAVE CHRISTMAS PUPS, WAS JUST GOING TO LET HER HAVE THE ONE LOT OF PUPS AND HAVE HER SPAYED. THE OTHER ENTIRE DOG IS A VERY NERVOUS DOG, AND STAYS AS FAR WAY FROM HER AS POSSIBLE. ANY WAY SPENT ALL NIGHT UP LAST NIGHT CALLED THE VET AT 3AM AS HER EYE WAS SWOLLEN HER NOSE WAS SWOLLEN SHE COULDNT SETTLE, WAS TOLD SHE HAD AN ALLERGIC REACTION TO SOMETHING AND TO GIVE HER A 1/4 PARACETAMOL AND TAKE HER TO THE VET IN THE MORNING, WHICH I HAVE AND THE VET THINKS SHE IS IN PUP AND MAY ONLY HAVE THE ONE, AND THAT IF THE VOMITING CARRIES ON, THEN SHE WILL SCAN HER. HAS GIVEN HER ANTIBIOTICS AND A SICKNESS INJECTION AND I AM TO TRY HER ON FISH AND RICE, AS BASICALLY SHE IS STARVING, ALL IS WELL WAS A LITTLE SICK THIS AFTERNOON BYUT ONLY WATER, SO FAR THE FISH AND RICE IS STAYING PUT.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR ADVISE AND REPLYING TO MY POST, WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE THE NEXT FEW DAYS
