Thought I'd just post this. :) I've had 2 littermates in the past and will NEVER do it again. However at the moment I have 2 puppies of different breeds, with only 3 weeks age difference. (It was simply unfortunate -had waited over one year for one of them and ended up getting him 2 months earlier than planned, and the other is homebred and his mother was coming in season at a totally different time to what was expected, so it just co-incided rather than giving me a few months in between each.) They are totally different and do never mix due to the size difference, so there is no issue this time of them bonding more to each other than me. However there is of course still the double amount of training etc!

So, this afternoon I am in the kitchen with the malinois puppy, training him. (Too wet outside and I needed him for a few minutes on his own.) That all done, I walked into the other room, where the papillon puppy is, and found he had managed to drag the newspaper down from the coffee table, had chewed it into millions of little pieces, spread them everywhere, and peed on top of the largest piece -all in the few minutes I spent with the other pup.

So I clear the mess up, then return to the kitchen -to find the malinois pup has emptied the giant water bowl all over the kitchen, and is happily paddling in a virtual lake. Clear that up.

Go for a break to look at Champdogs forum :) then suddenly hear suspiscious noises from the kitchen. Yes the Malinois puppy has OPENED the tumble dryer, emptied it, pulled everything out onto the dirty floor, and is busy chewing my washing!

Don't you just love puppies !! :D

Oh dear! I remember when we got 2 puppies at the same time, they were weeing and pooing far faster than I could mop up!! I agree, never again! :-(

My two have been great so far they are just coming up on a year old,but i have started to see the young boy is getting a wee bit naughty and is trying it on with all the other dogs. The little girl is an angel now but i always thought she would be the troublesome one.I am just preparing myself for any little hicups at the minute as cos i have had it so easy with them i am sure there is trouble on the horizon.

My 2 litter mates were just crazy! Although they've grown up to be polite gentleman ... they were BAD!!

I agree LucyD.  We never realised how much wee and poo two tiny puppies could produce and they always seemed to 'perform' at the same time at opposite ends of whatever area they happened to be in!!!

I know just how you feel LOL only my problem is slightly different.  I have a GSD x Rottie 3 1/2 months and over 2 stone and a JR 8 months and they play so rough at times, which always ends with one in tears if I leave it so I am constantly going round after them pulling them off each other, drives me mad at times.
My JR has gone in to be castrated today so will have to attempt to keep them apart for  a few days.  Now that is going to be a complete NIGHTMARE.

must admit i have not had trouble with litter mates . my last litter I kept two & rather like you, circumstances meant a "stud fee" puppy arived at the same time, just 10 weeks older than the 2 babies...so three puppies at once was fun but certainly not a problem :)
