I guess my breeder had a dwarf boston in her litter, he's 5 weeks old but the size of a 2 week old pup and he has a big head like everything is pronounced more so on him. I haven't seen him yet and she said that he's a real lil stinker with alot of spunk. lol She said that no one would want him and I told her that I would be more then happy to have him but not sure if she will give him to me, she doesn't think he will be more then 2 pounds when fully grown and I think she's pretty attached to the lil guy. People told her to put him down but she's like me he's not broken so why end his life just not something you would breed from....

Have any of you seen a dwarf dog like that? What are the chances of him surviving?

I have seen a dwarf chi and I think this pup would have been lucky if she made a pound, she was more the cause of inbreeding she looked perfectly normal but way way too tiny and seemed to have problems with walking. They couldn't spay her because the op would have killed her, I think she was givin to them.

Have no experience of dwarfism in dogs, but did own a Corgi (a dwarf breed ) who was very healthy and fit - he lived to over 18 years and eventually was PTS through old age.

I've found a few sites which explain about the different types of dwarfism and what you might be taking on, there are no guarantees either way, the pup could be really healthy or not, it depends on the reason for dwarfism and the severity.  There is a load of info on the web for you to wade through if you've a mind for it :)

Thank you Dill :)

I'm trying to find as much info as I can on it. I know my breeder will not pts unless the pup is in pain and thats the best option, not sure if she will keep him or give him to me or not....

I would like to take him but I think she may be keeping him herself cause he may be alot of work in the long run. I guess he does have some breathing problems :( He's a fighter
