looking for advice regarding weaning and the feeding of the mum when will she stop producing milk?

I think most breeders would say to commence weaning at between 3 and 4 weeks old. However, don't stop the bitch from gaining access to the pups whenever she wants. By the time the pups are eating enough solids, they will be requiring less from Mum, although they will all still try to feed from Mum even at 8 weeks, but she'll decide when enough is enough, as a general rule. Make sure they can get at fresh water too when you start weaning.
