A friend of mine who works at one of the big Vet Universities is planning on holding a companion day show next year to raise funds for a new building.

Does anyone who has been to one, apart from the usual pedigree classes and fun classes are there any other things you can think of?

We thought.......

Raffle
Behaviouist/advice
Agility
Flyball demo
Down/stay comp

Hi, our local dogs trust has an open day every year and they do a clear round agility. No contact equipment just jumps a tunnel and some weaves. They separate it into two categories, dogs on lead and dogs off lead. They also have an agility demo, this year it was all rescue dogs, they use all the contact equipment for this. You could try doing the same thing? They also have a maze made out of orange barrier fencing: you stand at the exit and have someone release your dog at the entrance and they time how lone it takes for them to find you, mine just jump over the top and take the short route as do a lot of other but it is fun trying. :-)

That sounds like fun collimad! ( the maze) I could imagine Maddie enjoying that one :)
