Hi my friend has a girl @ a boy they have the same mum  but not dads @ the girl is a good year older than the boy they are of good breed back ground @ are very helthy. The vet that checked them out at the same time asked if she was going to breed them but she @ my famaily thought the blood line would be to close we woundered what any one here thought or should she get a 2,nd opinion at an other vet.

What breed are they? Do they meet the breed standard (no matter what their pedigree is)?

I would say that unless your friend is a recognised breed expert (because very few vets are) then this should not be considered.

(If these are your own two white boxers, then nothing's changed - they should never be bred from at all. I apologise if you're genuinely referring to other dogs.)

Agree with everything thing that JG has outlined.

I have 2 half siblings, same Mother but different Father and I wouldn't dream of pairing them  for all kinds of reasons.

Why don't you talk to someone who's very experienced in the particular breed that you are referring to. They really are the best people for information like this.

And even then, presuming that your friend is a novice, if I was her, I would expect to have owned the breed for several years before I even thought of breeding full stop. It's a huge responsibility and expense, even for breeders that are well seasoned and have had their breeds for many decades.

Does the world really need more puppies in it when there are very experienced, good breeders out there that produce healthy, quality pups? This is a question that you should really ponder on. ;)

Why do you keep asking this same question - I've seen you ask it several times in slightly different ways. You will keep getting the same answer - NO. PLEASE just neuter your dogs and enjoy them for what they are.

If they are both white boxers, first and foremost you are going to very likely end up with a third of the puppies being deaf and that might be the least of your problems. They will all be white and it if you just go in deliberately breeding two dogs together who are pet quality due to their colour and the problems it can bring, then you deserve all you get. Unfortunately the innocent victims who will be the ones to really suffer - the puppies - don't deserve it. You and especially the vet have no idea what genetic problems are lurking - NO MATTER WHAT BREED OR COLOUR THEY ARE - so just don't do it. I don't care what the vet says - most vets know next to nothing about breeding dogs unless they breed themselves and they certainly won't be an expert on the bloodlines as that's a very specialist thing you only gain through years of being in a particular breed.

I don't breed dogs, but I've been lucky enough to sit in on my friend's breeding program for the last decade. She is a very experienced breeder, but even with the most carefully and well researched pedigrees, things can and do go wrong. It's enough to make me decide I don't want to breed.

I know I'm wasting my breath and I'm going to see the same advert in the Loot every 6 months. White boxer pups - both parents can be seen.

Some people will keep asking the same question over and over again until eventally they will find somebody who gives them the answer they want (even if it is just one out of a hundred asked) -seems this is the case here eh..... :(

To be blunt Again Do not breed from two white boxers, there are enough already in white boxer rescue without any more.

Hi justlou not sure if its breeding or the ££££ signs that they have on the brain.I adore white boxers as much as i love my coloured ones and i would be mortified if i had sold a white boxer to a pet home and found out it had been bred from. words fail me.
