My dog is 18 months old and up until now, housetrained! For the last couple of weeks, hes pooing in the middle of the night. Its not every night. He does it once then he may be ok for a day or so and then he does it again. Sometimes hell do it a couple nights in a row. His food has not changed, nor his routine etc and he seems fine in himself. The poo is solid, like normal, so its not as if hes got the runs. The rest of the time hes good as gold. Any ideas as to why hed be doing this?

I dont know why he is doing this, but feed him first thing in the morning so that he has plenty of time to go during the day, then he should be fine when he is left at night. This is what my Vet told me.
