Does anyone know of any other insurance company other than pet plan that covers a dog for unlimited vet fees.

Direct line do a policy plus that is cheaper than petplan and will cover a dog for life for an injury or illness or problem it it is lifelong. They settle up promptly direct with the vet too if you wish to save you forking out up front.
I'm thrilled with them and they covered with no question my girls rare illness until the day she died. My new pups are also now insured with them.

I dont think they do unlimited vets fees though.
Hi Bev,
Did they add any particular clauses for the illness? My Ellie has a bloodclotting disorder [it won't clot!] and although she doesn't need any medication for it, if she has a nosebleed etc it literally goes on for days. I haven't got her insured as in the past there have been so many clauses- if she was in an RTA or was bitten she wouldn't be covered due to the clotting issue it wasn't worth it. Maybe things have progressed- I'll have to check it out.
Regards
Liz
M+S don't do unlimited vet fees, but they don't have a 12 month limitation like some companis have. Think I am covered for £7500 per year per illness,.
I use Sainsburys pet insurance and have had loads of claims with my old boy - from minor operation to major illness with allergy blood tests thrown in - all have been paid out promptly with no questions. I would recommend them to anybody.

No they didn't do any clauses as I had the cover plus that insured her for bills for her illness for the rest of her life. Whatever it incurred.
