Does anyone know of a good holiday cottage that will allow 4 dogs?  We are looking to take the dogs on a holiday next year and I prefer a recommendation from 'doggie people'! Thank you

It depends where you want to go :D BUT we have just come back from the west coast of Scotland, we stayed in a lodge( 3 adults) with our 3 dogs and had a really good time. We were 2 minutes walk from the beach and there was loads of excellent places for walking, so many infact we didn't get round most of them! And they even got free Thortons ice cream when we went into Oban, and shared our fish and chips..spoiled dogs!
I'd be happy to let you know a bit more if you're interested, just PM me.
Emily :)

We had a lovely cottage in Cornwall with 2 dogs, and another in Yorkshire with 3. There are websites around for dog friendly cottages - most of the ones that allow more than one dog aren't too worried about how many you take (within reason!!) :-)

Hi fossey,

A lot of the cottage websites will give you a tick box for 'pets' which, when pursued, turns out to mean 'one well-behaved dog'.  It's worth persevering though; we only take two but the people who are 'dog-friendly' are generally very understanding and so its well worth trying to get hold of the owner rather than the agent who will just give you the official line.

Cold you let us know how you get on?  I am desperate to increase my two dogs to three but holiday provision is one of the things that puts me and OH off.

Thanks, Linda

We stayed in a lovely complex in Dawlish Warren last year - they have caravans etc and some of them do allow dogs.  We had a great time and there were loads of 'dog friendly' places to visit too.

Hi Fossey,

I don't know how much use it will be because I haven't gone in depth with it yet, but try www.dogsinvited.co.uk, they apparently have a lot's of nice dog friendly holiday homes advertised all around the UK :D

HTH Nat :D

We went to Devon this year and found it to be the most dog friendly place, but i can't remember the name of the place we stayed sorry.
