What is the youngest @ safest age a boxer can get pregnant, i do not want to breed her but if my boy has got her preg by ac i hav been very careful and they have had all health checks by a vet would she be all right 2 continue the pregnacy.

She IMHO is too young and if you do not want to breed her you should make sure at all costs that your dog doesn't get a chance to mate by fostering the dog out whilst she is in season. If there is a slim chance that they have then get her to a vet to get the possible pregnancy terminated. There are too many unwanted dogs in rescue without adding to it by having a accidental mating :)

T hawks,
do you want to breed your dogs??? As every message you have sent so far is whether your bitch is old enough etc to carry on with A pregnancy that might or might not have happened.
My neighbours dog got in with my 2 year old Rottie cross 6 years ago. I dont think anything happened but I went straight to the vet to get the mis mate injection. i would rather do that than have puppies, even tho i used to look after new born puppies for a show/breeder and know everything from the joys of seeing them walk for the first time to the heartache when one comes back that has been mistreated at the age of 2. And all the agnst about them inbetween.

Hi guest IMHO she is far to young and may still be very immature herself most boxers are at that age. you can take her to the vets and have the pregnancy terminated like the previous poster mentioned. are you sure your boy may of got to her if so rearing a litter of puppies isnt easy then there is the cost IE if a emergency c section is required, then there is the docking of tails and removal of dew claws extra cost there looking after the puppies for almost eight weeks then finding them loving life time homes, and also if a home doesnt work out being prepared to take the puppy back.please consider everything it isnt easy and quiet expensive.
hope ive been of some help

They CANNOT both have had all their health checks as hip scoring isn't done before the age of 12 months at the earliest! (And you did state in another thread that your boy is only about 6 months.) Just a quick check by your vet is NOT what is meant by health checks. We're talking hip scoring, possibly elbow scoring, eye testing (only done by eye specialists) and heart testing as far as I know in Boxers. All of which will cost you several hundred pounds a dog to do. Responsible buyers will not touch puppies from untested parent/s.

And you have already been told not to breed white boxers.

And I hope these aren't actually your friend's dogs that are half siblings.......

Hi heart testing is mainly done at champ shows and i very much doubt the poster will of had this with them being white boxers.i can only imagine that the dogs breeders are not aware of this possible disaster. oh my it really bothers me.

I met a hugely obese white boxer bitch of 10 years old on the bus today.  After chatting to her owner he told me he had her daughter!!!  I felt so sorry for her as she was at least a stone overweight.

Hi brainless that was most likely one of the lucky white boxers that had a loving home where it was loved for what she was a loyal pet. although her owners may have over fed her with kindness. Iknow just how many white boxers are waiting for loving homes at white boxer rescue in Preston although most are in good health there are plenty in there that are deaf or have other health problems. and owning boxers myself it saddens me to think that people actually want to breed two white boxers. I love white boxers as much as their coloured siblings.

Hi Polly 45, I wouldn't have said she was one of the lucky one's, Being a stone over weight is not a good thing!!! and if her owner was all that kind at all he would not have bred her, as he has her daughter as well. It saddens me, although I love Boxers no matter the colour, but would never advise anyone to breed from a white one.

Oh good grief, I've just realised you're the person with two white boxers! No, no, no, no, no, neither of them should ever be bred from. At all. And certainly not to each other. Ever. :( :( :(

Hi T Hawks i know you probably feel like everyones getting at you but it's for the best, read some books on boxers and you'll soon find out why your girl shouldn't be bred from or your boy.  It's not far on the dogs health or respective owners.  There's to many people breeding unhealthy dogs what should never be bred from.

It always amazes me jow they get pregnant 'accidentally' and without the owner knowing.
T Hawks....you know if your dogs were together while she was in season and hence you know if shes likely to be pregnant.
