I can honestly say I've never heard of anything like this!  I met an elderly lady in the woods recently whilst trying to tire out my mad puppy.  She had two old dogs with her - one, she told me was diabetic adn she had to inject it every day - and you won't belive this....the other a lovely old mongrel.....her daughter had noticed up for sale at a car boot sale for a fiver.  I was stunned that anyone could be so cruel - selling the poor thing.... I guess the dog may have been stolen or something, I don't know, but isn't it terrible.  I didn't ask the lady a lot of questions as she seemed to adore her dogs and I didn't want to upset her.

At least the dog was found by and is now ebing looked after by someone who cares :)  Doubt it would have been stolen and sold for only a fiver...more likly owners didn't want an old dog anymore :(

That poor dog, sold at a boot sale. Thank goodness he has now found a lovely home with an owner who cares! :-)

i havent the room for another dog,but if i saw this id probaley have to buy it to ensure that it wasnt sold to just anyone,then id try to find it a good home.

i would buy the dog and worry about what to do with it afterwards!!!!!
at least someone got it that will take care of it in its old age. and not someone who bought it on a whim.

Poor dog being sold along with the clothes the kids have grown out of and various other pieces of tat... some people would probably sell their granny if you offered them a tenner!

A friend of mine in the USA got her first shar-pei when she was walking down the street and stopped to pet her. The owners just said "You want her?" handed the lead over and told my friend not to feed her too much as she got fat easy!
