Take a look at the first post under the 'breeding' section - not a good idea to decide 4 days before that you need a stud, it takes time, research, money and a lot understanding before mating your bitch, I suggest you leave it this time round, take your time and find a 'suitable' stud for your bitch assuming she has had all the necc health checks?!

You'll need a lot more time than that to find a stud whose pedigree is suitable to match with your bitch, plus who's passed (as your bitch has, of course) all the breed-relevant tests for hereditary conditions.

I'm astonished you can tell that she'll be ready on those dates ...

It's a bit late now, I'd leave it until next time only if you've had all the necessary health tests done.  I also wouldnt go to a stud dog that hasn't had them done either!  How old is your bitch as I would think that Rottie's shouldbn't be bred from until they're 2 years old?

if you go to the home page of Champdogs you can do a guided search & find rottie stud dogs all over the country.
however,the best stud for your bitch may not be in the west of scotland & choosing one because of loacation isnt always the best idea.
can you not wait till her next season,so you can check potentail hubbys better?

Plus even if you do go to champdogs home page i doubt any of the breeders will use there stud on your dog unless she's been hip scored and health tested before mating.
