I seem to have developed a bad habit of 'stretching' the truth a little with regards to shows.

Not on the internet as thats easily found out but with neighbours who know nothing :D i have never lied about the placings just about how many i was up against.
I finally supassed myself this weekend even my husband raised his eyebrows when entries were high enough but only half turned up but i neglected to say this :rolleyes: :D :D :D

I am really ashamed of myself but i can't stop :(

I was browsing a while ago and i noticed someone who went to the same show as me had said they went BOB when i knew for a fact there was no BOB class as it was AV and i got thinking hmmm :D :D :D

He, he I think that we've all done it in our time :d

Neighbour:  How did you do at the show?

Me:  I won my class :d  (brain, yeah, you were the only one in it :d )!!!

Yep...I've done it!!! LOL...a win or BOB is still that regardless of how meny you beat..so why spoil the moment :d

Well thats what i thought phew!!! oh so glad i'm not alone! I think that deserves at the least an entry of 37 at this weekends show! :D :D :D

I havent lied, just not told the whole truth ;) when there has only been one in the class at an open show I say - oh yes, he got best puppy in breed and people rarely ask how many in the class - apart from my mother :rolleyes:

Bliddy mothers! i have no mother but an outlaw mother and she is intent on catching me out! I'm suprised she hasn't took a subscription to Our dogs along with her womans own :rolleyes:

My mother always phones the evening after a show to see how we got on, and no matter what we got eg 2nd she will say "oh out of two" ? or 3rd - "oh whats that, out of 3"

If I see you on sunday, I will ask how you got on in Wales. I hope I'm told the whole truth, Claire.:D

I would Sarah if i had the chance but my partner has always got there firsts and says straight away how many was in the class.

If you see me on Sunday you will know I didnt get a first, because if I get that then I will have to stay on so wont make it to the comp. show in time.  Its ok my mum will be there and she will tell you the truth :D :D

I don't think it's lying so much as being economical with the truth.   There are times when we've got BOB but don't happen to mention that we were the only ones entered.  lol

never lied........been a bit evasive lol......1st in class ...only one in class....well he could have got 2nd if the judge felt like it..thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it.....

I had a third out of one with a cat once.

Well a lady that works with my aunty told her that her dog won its class and the last time i was at my aunties house we looked on the internet and found that in fact that dog had not been placed at that show. So the next day at work my aunty said 'we looked on the internet and i think they have made a mistake cause it says that your dog wasn't placed' and you should have seen her face she just went bright red!!! Lol I know it wasn't a very nice thing to do but she is always lying about where her dog has been placed so we taught her a lesson!!!! :D

I have the opposite problem, I'm too darned truthful. I feel compelled to admit that it was first out of one and so on - grr!! Mind you then I can really boast when he gets BIS out of 130 Cavaliers!! :-D
