We have decided we would like a dog to add to our family and from asking around and looking on the internet a labrador seems to have one of the nicest temperments and I have always liked these dogs anyway. We have two children aged 10 and 6 so it would have to be a breed that is known to be good with children.The question is I work part time and the longest I would be out would be about 4-5 hours, is this too long to house train a puppy? Would we be better off looking for a slightly older dog although we would like it fairly young? We live in york so other question is does anyone know where we can get one from around this area? Any feedback would be helpful.
