We have recently met a Golden Retriever, small, golden/reddish, otherwise typically Golden.  the owner referred to the ancestry as being "Holway Strain" but we can find no reference to this.
Can anyone enlighten us.

Hi Bill,
Put Holway Golden retrievers into Google and you should find plenty of information on them.

Holway Goldens are a field trial line, I.e. they are bred to work, not to be show dogs. Working Goldens do tend to be darker in colour and lighter in build. :)
