Thanks to all that replied regarding my eldest cavs matts. I have finally got the last matt out today! Go me. Well i did find some knots but they are easy compared to the rest. I also am now armed with cowboy magic, new proper comb, slinker, moulting comb, new scissors and lovely smelling aloe vera shampoo. Will be giving both a lovely bath followed by cowboy magic and comb through. Thanks again to all. I would have ended up taking her to a groomers again and regretting it.
If anyone can think of anything else to help with their upkeep i'd be grateful for the advise - I'm taking the younger one to training classes and am hoping she might enjoy it.

Way to go Marie, there is a sense of acheivement in doing it yourself lol I get my boys looking good for a show them they come home & dig the garden for me  ;) & pee on there front feathers :D

Don't talk to me about peeing on feathering - my boy is the only dog who can pee THROUGH one of those p-jackets!!!!

LOL pee jacket is like the front half of a full dog coat one like a human ski suit or water proof bit like the dog wearing an anorak to stop male dogs peeing on the feathers & chest ! well that the theory have a look here

i agree. They now look all soft and redy for cuddles and smell nice - not sure how long that'll last. As ours are girls don't have that prob although little is in season and i reckon thats bad enough!!
