Has anyone any experience of using this additive?
I'd love to hear of other's knowledge about it before I start adding it to feeds. I need something to bulk up and add fibre but it musn't be cereal as such. I am using grated carrot but I would like to know about the Missing Link.
Thanks Anne

Ive not used it but looking at the ingredients the second largest is SUGAR Im not sure how this would benefit your dog!

unless you want a hyper dog LOL
it would have the same effect as on kids wouldnt it.... lots of sugar?
- By Bluebell [gb] Date 18.09.05 09:32 UTC
Sugar will certainly give the dog a sugar rush, which may be noticable. However there is now some evidence that it can cause the dog to get diabetes later in life :( So IMHO best avoided, althogh it is difficult with commercial foods as it is both a preservative and very palitable.

I use the one with liver in it,my dogs wouldnt touch the vego version. No hyper behaviour here, molasses is a lot more than sugar :)

Hi Hailey.
Which is the one with liver in it? Is it made by the same makers? I've not seen that one.

Anndee the same people make it,the only diff is the added liver, which made a huge difference to my dogs accepting it. My friend gave it to me as her picky dogs wouldnt eat it. I have a picky eater also and she doesnt mind it at all.

I think this website has alot of info on it http://www.designinghealth.com

Thanks for that Hailey :)
What do you think of it? do you think its of any great benefit? I need something to help with on going problem with digestive system. she is under the vet. who did say they use it occansionally but at the moment my dog is on Cystease, which really doesn't seem to be doing that much, that i can see.

Hi Anndee,

I have noticed their coats are much shinier and less gas. But if your looking for something thats helps digestion among alot of other things then i would go for a product called Nupro. It is excellent stuff, bounds ahead of missing link ;)

Thanks for that link hailey. i appreciate it. I must say, it does seem to be decent stuff. I've just rung the vet. to see what she has to say about Safi's latest problem and am just waiting for her to get back to me, but I might just mention this Nupro to her. See what she thinks.
Thanks for all your help, your very kind :) :)
Love Anne
