A friend of mine just came back from Canada and mentioned that he saw Alaskan Malamutes which  looked like they had had their fur clipped to help them cope with the high temperatures over there - Is this true? Or is it a case of them moulting more due to the hot weather and thus having shorter coats?

More likly saw one out of coat!!!!  I've seen them out of coat and they must go to half the size.... :eek:

my friend has mals and when her bitch drops her coat she goes down to husky size,
