hello, could anyone tell me if there is anything at all i can use on my girl, she is day 43 and this morning i have found a flea on her she has been scratching for a few days,i know none of the remedies should be used with her being in whelp,i have tried using the nit comb but she doesnt really have the fur that a nit comb can be used on,i also have 2 other dogs,am i ok to use frontline on these two as they are in close contact with my girl in whelp.any help would be greatly appreciated.many thanks debs.

I could be wrong but I think frontline can be used on in whelp bitches.  The best thing to do would be to ring the vet who will be able to advise you.

Front line says it can be used on pregnant bitches, but our experiecne has shown otherwise, as shortly after it first came out we used it on 2 in whelp bitches, first was scanned for 3 pups, sitting next to a very flea infested lurcher in vets while waiting for scan, so treated her when got home "for safety" - only 1 pup born, another bitch, with my partner, was definetly in whelp at 5-6 weeks, was frontlined, and produced no pups, and a third bitch we know was treated at a similar time, and her previously scanned litter also all "vanished".  We never heard back from the naufactureeres, avfter receving standard "we note your comments" type letters.

bye
Gwen

we tried the 4fleas and it did not work (my cat give my bitch fleas) so i treated the whole house (pets) with frontline except the bitch in whelp and done her and the pups with spry frontline when the pups where a few days old (by treating the rest of the house you are keeping the flea number down)

Or you could try rubbing brewers yeast through her coat, it works very well on fleas.
