Topic Dog Boards / General / Why have I got a pongy dog?!
- By Pickles [gb] Date 16.09.05 17:29 UTC
My friend has a Golden Retriever which is a year old and she has an odour. Its not really a doggy smell but more like an old smell and its not that nice.
She used to go to the groomers but after a week the freshly groomed smell vanished! She doesn't live outside that much but she has occasional outside time - but she does smell.
Any advice/suggestions as my friend doesn't like it.

She has had problems there before but she's ok now I think as she doesn't drag her bum anymore!

get them checked again.
Beanos need emptiying every 4-6 weeks, They were done again today and were a bit Pusy, so he is now on antibiotics for a week :( :(
But this time, even tho they were infected, he was not dragging his bum or chewing like he normally does.
HTH

i have 4 goldens and they all have a distinct smell , i think it's just the breed. I'm not sure if its the same your explaining , but it doesn't make me gag.
