Has anyone else received a package in the post complete with swab kits for providing swabs to this outfit for their research into dog evolution and genetics?

They know I have KC reg dogs so have the KC given them my details?  If so I'm livid!

The research is being carried out by Dr Paul Jones and Dr Thanos Vratimos at Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition, Masterfoods so I am concerned that it is a food manufacturer that is using the info.

Any comments?

Thanks

Andrea

There has been a couple of previous posts on this, here's one of them

Thanks Isabel

I only bred one litter and won't ever be doing it again but have nothing to hide so I will probably provide the swabs.  I was just concerned as the explanatory litter is uninformative to say the least and I wouldn't like to take part in something that may end up being ethically questionable.

Many thanks

a breeder in shihtzu had this come unnannouced through the post all enquiries re other groups nobody had heard of it...it also ONLY had a mobile contact number which was unanswered when rung...so this breeder after consulting breed clubs just ignored it.....whether a scam or not i dont know but i think that an introductory note with decent access should be provided....

I suppose its like all spam, whoever has peoples particulars sells some of it on, don't forget the KC is highly commercial.
