Can anyone help me find a flight from Bulgaria, back to uk (scotland preferably)????? I am trying, but having trouble. It is quite urgent, so if anyone can help, i would be extremely grateful.

Thanks.....i will have a look. It is for my Mum and Dad, they are on holiday in bulgaria and need to get back ASAP. My gran has been diagonsed with cancer today and her condition is very poor!!! :-( :-(

BA have regular flights to Sofia from Heathrow, and you could easily transfer on a flight to Scotland. Have a look at BA.Com

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and kind wishes. I still havent managed to get them on a flight. And its too late i'm afraid. My gran passed away @ 2.30 am. :-( :-( :-( I am still trying to get them a flight, so if anyone has any ideas???!!! Thanks :-(

Did your parents travel on a package holiday, if so they should be able to help.
Have they considered contacting the British Embassy or Consulate and ask for their assisstance?

Can't think of anything else to suggest am afraid.

I'm so sorry your efforts have not succeeded, I'm sure you will still need to be together as soon as possible.  Do your parents have holiday insurance as I'm sure the loss of an immediate relative is generally covered.  Of course the insurance rep won't be able to conjure up flights if there are simply no seats available but they will have great experience in finding them and would take the load off you at what will be a very difficult time for you anyway. 

Oh I'm sorry about your Gran :(

So sorry to hear your sad news. Have you explained the situation to the airline? There are sometimes seats that are not filled but go to people that are prepared to sit and wait for them.

Meanwhile make sure that YOU get some sleep and enough to eat. There is no big rush now and things will happen when it is their time, so dont stress anymore than you have to.

Thanks again....i have just heard back from the insurance and there is a flight to scotland tomorrow. Just hoping they can get seats on that. The insurance will now cover them because it is a death. But mum & dad would have paid to come back sooner if they could of got on a flight. They have the tour reps in Bulgaria, working on getting a them a flight, but still having trouble getting a seat. :-(

I think i am still in shock, searching for flights is keeping me busy so i dont have much time to think about it all. (And of course my 6 year old and cheeky puppy!!)

Mackleback if the tour operator cant get them a flight back. can you not contact the travel firm they booked with and see if they are any help. my next door neighbours father in law died. and the holiday company got them home. just a thought.
