Good luck Pam,
Good luck, its an early start on Sunday for us too, it will take us about 4 and a half hours to get there. The joys of living up here in the wilds of Scotland.

Hope you all have a great time. Didn't enter but glad I didn't now as Lastar's coat has had to come off, oh well should be OK for LKA then for next years show, when hopefully our new girl will be out too :d
GOOD LUCK to all of you.

Anyone atttending Friday should consider taking wellies! Jsut been down to showground tonight to meet up with friend at Caravan Site - and the entrances to the showground prooper were already all churned up! Unless we get a very dry, windy night, I think things may be a bit muddy tomorrow
bye
Gwen
Good luck Blue, i'm there on Saturday.

Well Gwen you were right the ground was sodden. To be honest and I don't mean this is a lets slag the showground off BUT ;-) I have to say I was shock at how much dog poo was lying around or some sort of poo. All around my car it was honestly impossible for me to miss it with my trolley. You want to see the bump they made me park my car on also it was like a Seesaw :-) Have to say I wasn't too impressed at all.
Fourpaws fancy seeing you there ;-)
Well I was 2nd in Junior dog. And 2nd in Minor Puppy dog , the judge said for Minor puppy that he was splitting hairs and they would change places on another day ... now dont say well why was I 2nd :-D :-D
I got home at 6.30 and cant believe I am still up :-)
Hope everyone else had a nice day.

Blue - I was there too (nice to see you again) and it was freezing cold - I ended up with my lightweight jacket, my fleece and outer jacket on and I was still cold. I don't know how you managed in your short sleeved blouse - brrrrrrrrrrr. I had to get up at 2.15 am and didn't get home until 7 pm so I'm well shattered.

Well done Mel. I spotted quite a few pairs of wellies ;-)

I can't show, my bitch is at day 15 of her season and busy flagging her tail at anything remotely male! :( Oh well, shall pop along for a look tomorrow and see what she would have been up against and do some shopping.
After looking at the AA routefinder, figured it will take almost 5 hours! EEK! Glad I am dragging my mother along for her "birthday" treat (ie. helping me lug bags and dogs around :0)
Will pack lots of waterproofs for the dogs and us though, think we will need it!!
Well done Blue, your a very busy lady. Good luck for your next shows.

Are the rings inside or outside by the way? Hope I manage to buy new shoes today if the ground is soggy as I have a hole in one of my smart shoes!
If they have the normal set-up then most of the rings are outside, BIS and stakes tend to be in Rings A and B and they are under-cover, but they have some breeds in them too as we were under cover last year. Hope this helps, I'm taking wellies but the sun is shining today so hopefully it will dry the gound a bit and tomorrows forecast is good :)

The rings are outside, with the main ring covered. The ground wasn't that muddy today as the wind had dried everything out, but you could tell it would be quite muddy in wet weather. I thought the new venue was great, really easy to get to - only took me about 35 mins - and no traffic at all. They did put out an announcement about people not cleaning up after their dogs, so hopefully this won't stop the venue being available for the show next year. Wrap up warm as the wind was bitter today.

I agree the car parking wasn't ideal. Bit up and downy, which made it seem miles away from the actual entrance. especially when pulling a stupid trolley with small wheels. Why didn't I buy one with big wheels!! but I thought the venue was really nice.
I think all the poo lying about, especially in the car park was actually sheeps. they can do big dollops :D It wasn't too bad underfoot on Friday. Certainly not as bad I thought it would have been with all the rain we had on Thursday. I only live about 30 mins away ;) and as its been dry and breezy as well today, tomorrow should be even better. Good Luck to everyone showing tomorrow (Sunday) Hope you all have a lovely day out.
Anne
Hi Lucy dont know what day your on but it was all outside today. So new shoes i'm afraid.

Thanks Susan, they weren't too uncomfortable and we got 5th in a very high quality class, so I'm exhausted but pleased! It was a bit uneven and squelchy in places though!
