Some people just make you sick dont they, i have woken this morning to what looks like staffie pups dumped in my garden!!!! Can you believe it! Makes my blood boil, they can only be about 3wks (eyes open, on their feet and prickly teeth coming through). Thankfully i spoke to a very helpful staffy breeder who has pointed me in the right direction for the rescue etc. But who in their right minds could just dump puppies? Rant over now, glad to say all going okay, and my most heartfelt thanks to the staffordshire bull terrier breeder i have spoken with toady :-)
Hi Bears mum, im sorry to be so to the point, but some people dont even deserve to be alive! Thats a terrible thing to do! No need for that whatsoever! Are they all ok?? Poor little babies!! :(

Its disgusting isn't it, there are some really evil people out there.I should think it was a nasty shock for you to find them in your garden.
Oh thats so sad.... so glad there are gonna be ok and well looked after now, thanks to you :-)
Makes you wonder though about people( well it does me )
Atleast the unscrupulous person isnt trying to sell them off at over inflated prices and passing them off as something they might not be....
Thank goodness they dumped them in your garden, and not someone as equally hard hearted as them.
Do you have any idea where they came from?
Some people  But well done you for helping them :D
Nat xxx
The only way I can think about this sort of thing without ranting like a loonatic is this: For the nasty person that left them there, there are the people like you bears mum that balance the scales of humanity and make the world okay to be in! I will still have a little rant tho.
Will they be okay being so young? Poor little things.

Might be worth checking the area for the mother dog :( Could be they left her too.
Sorry to suggest that, but they may have left her with them and she could have wandered off.
Sounds like someone has just realise how much hard work rearing a litter is
Such a shame :(
So glad you found someone able to help you sort it all out.

How awful how could anyone just dump puppies I can never get over what a throw away society we live in.
Well done you for helping these poor puppies now hopefully they will end up in loving homes like they deserve.

Thank god they dumped them in the garden of someone caring enough to find the right rescue to help, and didn't just throw them out of a car on the motorway or drown them like some people do. Grr! :-(
Out of curiousity, are you anything to do with rescue or was it pure fluke they were dumped with you? I also feel sorry for the poor mum who is desperately missing her 3 week old puppies. :-(
I read recently on another forum that 2 week old pups were being given away in the street by a woman, who gave two to a small boy. Of the whole litter, only the mother of the boy bothered to alert the RSPCA to the situation, the people who took the other puppies did not. As far as I know the mother and the woman who was giving these pups away was trying to be traced. It is a sad world, but the comment I readin this thread about balance is right. These people are terrible and lack all those virtues that make you human, but then there are people in this world who care for others, care for animals and care for the world around them, and hopefully there are more of them in the world than the nasty ones. I really hope these pups pull through, please keep us informed of how they get on. Take care xxx
Hi All,
I am nothing to do with the rescue just a fluke, we live next to a corn feild in the sticks so we think they have thrown them meaning to hit the field but they landed with us. Luckily a breeder in my local area has come to the rescue and taken the pups on to hopefully rear them best they can (i couldnt keep them here i have a pregnant bitch) and then given a few weeks they should be strong enough to go to their forever homes :-)
The breeder has promised me lots of pictures lol and updates as they grow :-)
Thanks guys
Just to through a different light on this, Could these puppies have been stolen and whoever left them know they couldnt get rid of them that easy.puppies do get stolen, just a thought

In answer to your topic - NO some people dont deserve a dog. However I have recently come to the conclusion that if more people who couldn't cope simply 'dumped' the animal in question then there wouldn't be so many cruelty cases and hideous deaths. Just a point! Your right but they are alive and in safe hands now. My rescue boy suffered years of abuse and I ask myself why, if someone didn't love him or want him, didn't they just leave him with rescue or a home - why abuse him?? I ask the same questions when I read about litters being drowned or tortured.

PS Coincidence that they were dumped in your garden?? Are you known locally as a knowledgeable dog lover??
I dont condone what they did attall.. but atleast they were left on your lawn not no one elses..

That's possible Polly, hopefully the Staffy rescue will know if anyone's had a litter stolen.

How dreadfull, didnt think this sort of behaviour would happen in this country. When we lived in Corfu someone dumped 2 puppies in our rubbish bin, they were there overnight till we rescued them. Then we handreared them and found them good homes with some English residents, Unfortunately most Greek people do not believe in neutering cats or dogs, so when they reproduce the offspring are usually disposed of and not humanely. One of the reasons we returned to U.K.
What a cruel thing to do but as we know there are some bad people out there. At least these pups will stand a good chance of a better future than they would have left with the owners.

How very sad that they dumped the puppies. But what a trauma for
you to deal with.

Just wondering . . . .
Are you well known in your area as a 'doggy' person ?
I wonder if this is actually someone that you know (or at least knows of you) and purposely left them in your garden as they knew you would look after them, like Mums dumping babies at hospitals or police stations.
A few people know in the area that i have dogs but we think they were meant to be dumped in the corn field right next to my driveway. Who knows, suppose we will never know, all that matters is they will be cared for from now on.
The lady that took them on has been in touch with us today to say they are looking much better now for some electrolite fluid and a bit of food in their bellies :-)
