Hi all
we brought home our new puppy yesterday, shes gorgeous but we can't decide on a name, she's a staffy, all white with a blue ear, so far we have luna, misty, and calla. Any suggestions would be great we have to make a decision soon.
Thanks

Well not in english as far as I know..... mostly in languages that are derived from Latin (like italian, spanish and so on).
BTW, good luck with your new puppy!
Yep, Luna is a name for the moon in english too - a lot of our English language is derived form latin, something to do with being invaded by the Romans :D
To the OP - Luna sounds a cool name to me, good luck with the pup :)

Thanks everyone, so were all agreed, thought i was gonna call her puppy for ever, lol.
Luna does mean moon, and seen as she's white it suits her.
My two are called Rufus and Dylan although most of the time they still get called 'puppies' especially at dinner or night time, it's far easier :)

I'm too late, seems she is already named. But my first thought is that Dresden china is white with a blue pattern so what about Dresden?

On the china theme, how about Willow (willow pattern china is blue and white) or the Dutch pottery that's blue and white is called Delft.
But I like Luna too. I think it's always best to go with a name that just pops up like that and seems to suit the puppy.

blue beacuse she got blue ear or blue china from holland forgot what it called
Although Phoebe is also a good name as that is the celestial name for the moon :)
Blue china from holland - that would be Delft then that Phoebe mentioned :D
