I wormed my girl day 2 of her season (drontal plus xl), mated day 12, wormed day 40, still worming until 2 days post whelping with 8mls of panacur liquid a day.
Then going to worm her again when I worm the puppies at 2, 5 and 8 weeks. Now for my question, I worm the puppies over 3 days and it says to worm mum with 35mls of panacur liqiud is this just one day and not 3 days.

Ih God only the once or she could be ill, as that is the full dose, not half dose as the pups get.

Many Thanks Barbara, I thought it was, Its just that when I was ordering it they told me how many bottles I would need and what they told me was enough to worm her 35mls for three days. I thought it was a bit OTT. Glad I asked first,( some vets!!).

Many thanks Lynn

Hi Lynn

When you worm the pups weigh them individually and carefully work out the dose for each pup and keep it to the exact drop - not a fraction more.  Pups often get the squits after being wormed with Panacur but this can be prevented if you are careful with the amount.  You may be able to get a 5 or 10 ml syringe from your vet or chemist as this helps get the exact amount.

Thanks Christine, I will be very care, I have a 5ml syringe already, I brought it to measure jenna's panacur so I will do puppies with it as well. I now have 2 extra bottles of panacur, Never mind:-) Just glad I didn't give Jenna all of it.
Thank heavens for champdog members.

thanks again Lynn
