Hi happygirlie
You will probably find that she will get worse (baldness) before she gets better :( Aludex will certainly do the job but please be careful and follow the instructions to the letter. You may think that the precautions stated are a bit OTT - they are not! I find the best way is to make the solution in a basin, stand the dog in the bath with the plug in (windows wide open) then use a sponge to apply to the dog, this gives better control when applying around the mouth and eyes - it also helps the solution to penetrate the coat. When doing the legs I would stand each one in turn in the basin while sponging them as mites can be a problem around the nails.
I have seen many dogs have this treatment and on the whole there has been a good outcome. Hair growth returns quite quickly when the treatment is complete. It may be wise to build up your dogs immune system with the help of supplements because as you probably already know, killing the mites is only part of the problem.
Good luck with her, I'm sure you are doing a great job :)
