Have a friend who has lost a cat to FIP and spent a huge amount of time and money monitoring titres to try and get it down - to the disgust of everyone else in her breed.

Getting titres down is pointless as such -the titres just show the cats have been exposed and ARE fighting the corona virus. FIP itself is a mutation so there is nothing to say that a cat with a high titre will develop FIP. The titre may go down in time, it may not -I had a cat with a high titre tested at about 3 years of age, she lived until 12. :) The long and the short of it is that a healthy looking cat with a high titre IS healthy, no matter what the numbers say.
