Just wondered--is it true that greyhounds can't sit down?

Not true at all, but sitting is not the most comfortable position for them so a lot of them prefer to lie down instead.

Depends on the greyhound in question. Some of them are SO long in the back and SO well built around the hips/thighs that it is very hard and painful to sit down.

Some can though, most will not.

Mine does sit down occasionally but only for about 10 seconds at a time.......he looks very comical as you can clearly see what an uncomfortable position it is for him.:)
