Hi my mum has a cocker spanial which she was given from a breeder friend, she is only 5 years old, she has had two litters before my mum had her but her teats are still sagging, will this ever firm up?

When was her last litter? If it was recent, then she might firm up yet, with exercise and the right feeding :)
My mum has had her nearly a year and I think her last litter was a few months before that. She does get walked every day and I had her for a fortnight while my mum went away and she got even more exercise and there did seem to a bit of firming up and she is now on a BARF diet, which she loves, was very fussy about her food before.

Really she needs off lead exercise to help firm her up, no matter how far we walk our dogs on lead unless we are on a bicycle really its not enough to keep them totally fit, the exercise they get off lead is far faster than any human can run, they also usually do about 4 or 5 times the distance the owner walks when off lead ;) Does she retrieve? throwing a ball for her will get her running and work those abdominal muscles too ;) the BARF diet will also help :D
Thanks for the advice, she is off lead lots, she is very obedient, the problem is getting her to run more, I don't think she had much of a play life as a young dog, she wasn't treated badly but was destined to be a breeding bitch but had some problems with her two litters that she had and so the breeder didn't want to breed from her anymore so she is now a pet, but I don't think she was allowed to be too playful. She is starting to play fetch with a ball and will get all excited and play but that is usually in the garden, out on walks she is more interested in smelling things at her own pace, will have to tell my mum to get a bike!
Will she swim? My girls under carriage comes up wonderfully after swimming in the cold north water, but there again my girls love to swim :d
She will go in water with no problems, but I haven't tried her in water deep enough for her to swim in, will tell my mum to try it, thanks for the advice
I do sympathise with a having a dog that wont run. My eldest dalmatian who is 6 wont lower herself to running with the pack and she looks like she has just escaped from the local puppy farm. :( My two youngest girls have gone up nice and tight but we excercised them from very shortly after giving birth. I think poor purdy is like me her boobs have gone southwards and wont be heading north in a hurry. ;)
